Video Desktop

Description
The Video Desktop range provides an easy to use GUI to access video servers, such as the Aquila. It provides a straightforward interface, in a format familiar to CCTV users. Live or recorded images can be accessed, either in Full screen, or multiple display modes.

Controls are provided for camera selection, PTZ control including selection of presets, and choice of resolution.

The event database can be downloaded, and individual events selected for review.

Video Desktop lite is bundled free with all NetVu video servers. This provides access to live or recorded images, and the event database, with basic facilities to record received images to disk on demand.

Video Desktop Pro allows automated timed archiving of images, with integration to third party tape archive packages. The user interface can be controlled remotely, to also allow easy integration into other packages. In addition optional logging of operator actions provides a fully traceable environment.

Video Desktop adds alarm handling, indexed recording of received images, and remote configuration of video servers.

Alarm triggers can be transferred from a remote site, giving automatic connection, and camera tracking, with automatic downloading of image sequences from before and after the trigger.

A number of workstations can be networked in a single environment, to give robust fail-safe operation.
