Vanguard 2

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

NetVu Vanguard is an advanced digital video recorder/server designed to operate on a computer network. It continuously or event records images from up to thirty-two cameras whilst simultaneously providing live and recorded video images to multiple users via the network.

Images are recorded in MJPEG format but live or recorded images can be requested over the network in either MJPEG or MPEG4 formats, the latter offering significantly higher frame rates over limited bandwidth connections.

System configuration and operation is carried out via a series of web pages using a browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer. HTML editing software can be used to customise these pages if required.

Alarms can be generated by either physically wired inputs or VMD alarm events from any camera. These recorded events can then be protected on disk to prevent accidental erasure.

NetVu ObserVer is a Windows based software package which allows the user to view live or recorded images from any NetVu Connected unit on the network. Control of telemetry cameras is also available along with quick access to the alarm database. This powerful database offers the user a step by step video history of recorded alarm events and, if required, incidents can be selected and downloaded for storage on a PC or any LAN/WAN destination. Full central monitoring functions are also included. NetVu ObserVer is shipped with every NetVu Connected video server.

Available Configurations

16 or 32 input channels.

Up to 4 IDE hard drives providing from 300 GB to 2 Terabytes of storage.

50 or 100 images per second recording capability.

(32 channel,100 ips only).

As an example, a 2 Terabyte video server could record for almost 2 months recording at 20 images per second based on 20kB high-resolution images.
