AD Group believes that the single source approach it is adopting through AD Network Video will greatly simplify the whole procurement process, with AD Network Video acting as the hub for communication with customers - and between AD Group companies - so ensuring that the right Group-wide solution can be delivered on time and to budget.
Additionally, to support the launch of AD Network Video its US customers will have access to two demonstration areas in Chantilly, Virginia, were Dedicated Micros Inc is headquartered, and Atlanta, Georgia, where AD Group is located.
Jon VanDiver, Sales Director at AD Network Video believes that the new business will address a number of issues. “Sadly, it is all too often the case, with enterprise level projects that the reality of bringing together a number of disparate elements to deliver the wished for surveillance capability can prove to be problematic, with the end result falling far short of what was initially hoped for,” he said.
"Typically the disconnect between the initial specification and the ultimate performance can be attributed to having to deal with multiple suppliers of disparate systems which not only raises issues in terms of the time needed to communicate the project's requirements but also the interoperability of the elements once deployed. From our own perspective the rationale for setting up the AD Network Video service came from a desire to tackle this problem head-on, especially for large scale projects where the consequences are most marked.
"Ultimately, with AD Network Video coming on stream, customers across the Americas with multiple or large scale sites - whether that be a bus depot, a muti-story office building, or even a hospital - will be able to unlock the operational advantages that come from a common embedded architecture which supports the, seamless, integration and control of NetVu Connected CCTV systems. We are confident that this more intelligent approach to the delivery of enterprise level surveillance will reap long-term dividends for customers and the projects they are seeking to protect, whatever their specific requirements. The scope of what we can offer through AD Network Video is truly impressive and includes: Emergency Messaging and Mass Notification, Fixed and Mobile CCTV, Video Management, Fire Detection Systems, Video Analytics, Remote Monitoring and Access Control.
“To put this into some sort of context, if we take the example of a large airport, it is perfectly possible for us to support the specification, delivery and installation, of key elements such as: mobile CCTV solutions to ensure the safety and security of passengers on buses and trains connecting to the terminal; emergency messaging through the NetVu Connected infrastructure; video smoke detection to protect assets such as aircraft hangars from the threat of fire; ANPR cameras for car park entrances/exits; video analytics to keep an eye on the security critical perimeter fence, high definition cameras to monitor the actual runway; video systems for cockpit and cabin security on the aircraft themselves plus the video servers and graphic user interface required for CCTV monitoring and control."
